During this time, I was invited by China’s Ministry of Education as a featured guest speaker on how to design and execute innovative reading and vocabulary development strategies. Often, schools want students to demonstrate, through tests and essays, not only that they can remember facts, but that they understand the concepts and why they are important. I can help you or your child with both. I can invent clever mnemonic devices that help you memorize a lot of information in a short amount of time. Furthermore, I can use real life examples that are relevant to you or your child's interests to illustrate historical concepts in an understandable and (hopefully) enjoyable way.

I possess years of experience teaching the ISEE. Most of this was earned in Beijing, where I managed the test prep department of a bilingual school and training center. Developing my own test-taking strategies beyond the traditional “tips and tricks,” some of them derived from when I scored in the 98th percentile on the GRE, I helped many students overcome their difficulties and achieve success on the ISEE. This expertise is especially important since there are not many teachers who have ISEE experience, and the test itself does not have as much officially-produced material as many of the other standardized tests that I teach.

My mission is to learn every facet of the test from the best way to take notes to what snacks are most helpful for students on test day. 4. As an SAT expert, I have been featured in several magazine articles (available upon request). 5. I am willing to guarantee results for students who follow the program. If students complete 80% of the homework assignments, consistently use the strategies that they have learned, and regularly attend class, their SAT scores will increase from their initial mock exam. If you are on the search for a tutor who is engaging, insightful, and passionate about their job, Aaron is the tutor for you. I’ve had Aaron as a tutor for both APUSH and the SAT reading portion. Aaron is like a walking, talking textbook (in the best way possible, of course) and is amazing at explaining concepts and connecting themes for APUSH. He also takes his time to score your practice FRQs and provides detailed, constructive feedback to really help you prepare and preform well on the exam. Aaron has his own tips and strategies for tackling the SAT multiple choice which have made a huge difference in my learning. But besides that, Aaron’s ability to make his lessons enjoyable and interactive is what really makes him stand out. I couldn’t have asked for a better tutor :)
