Not bad but not great
He was a good teacher. However, he didn't seem to know the subject I was learning ( college statistics) very well. He told me that for him to prepare before our lesson I had to pay extra.. I thought that was ridiculous so I said you don't have to solve the problems just make sure you know them. He didn't prepare well for our lesson at all. We wasted a lot of time on him trying to figure out problems. He also didn't know some of the problems at all and some of the problems he did actually turned out to be wrong. He didn't bring his own, paper , pencil or calculator which I thought was a little weird. He was very inflexible with meeting me half way. His lesson locations were a bit far and that made it impossible for me to get as many lessons as I would have liked. He always had an excuse as to why he couldn't travel a bit closer to me. He was also very reliant on the answer key to the questions I was asking. I feel like he solved the problem just to get the answer.. But not necessarily the correct way. I had to cancel our last tutoring session because I couldn't make that location (too far) and go to my study group in the same day and he was very rude and never responded to my text. I believe that with a subject more straightforward such as algebra he would be good tutor. I think he is far better fit for high school tutoring not college. He is not a bad tutor just make sure to tell him to prepare in advance (without paying).
