I have several years of tutoring experience with a variety of educational levels, beginning with supporting 4-6th grade students with reading and science content remotely during COVID. I also support lab/workshop instruction for an annual summer STEM program for 7-8th grade students. Finally, I have been a teaching assistant for undergraduate courses in Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Psychology, Advanced Statistics, Thesis/Capstone Writing, and Research Methods. On the MCAT (Medical College Admissions Test) I scored a 130/98th percentile on CARS and a 131/97th percentile on Psychology/Sociology.
I am most passionate about increasing students' confidence in their critical analysis abilities. The best instructors I've had always took time to teach principles thoroughly and explain their importance in the larger context of the subject, building a solid basis for success while moving into advanced content.
