I am currently an undergraduate student at Harvey Mudd College pursuing a Bachelor of Science in General Engineering. My academic background includes a strong foundation in calculus, linear algebra, physics, chemistry, and biology, supported by advanced coursework in engineering systems, materials, and control theory. Prior to college, I graduated with a 4.0 GPA and earned scores of 5 on AP Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. This experience has strengthened my ability to approach problems analytically and explain complex concepts in a clear, structured way.

I have experience tutoring high school students in math and science through private, one-on-one sessions, where I focused on helping students build both conceptual understanding and problem-solving confidence. In addition, I currently work as a teaching assistant at my university, where I support large groups of undergraduate students by holding help sessions, grading assignments, and reinforcing key concepts from courses in engineering and materials science. This role has given me experience working with students of different backgrounds and skill levels in both group and individual settings.

My approach to tutoring emphasizes building a strong conceptual foundation and helping students develop a systematic way of thinking through problems. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into manageable steps and encouraging students to actively engage with the material rather than rely on memorization. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities, whether they are working through high school coursework or beginning college-level material.

Approved Subjects

Chemistry

Chemistry

I am an engineering student with strong experience in chemistry, mathematics, and physics. I earned an A in AP Chemistry as well as an A in my college chemistry coursework. I enjoy helping students build a strong conceptual understanding of chemistry while also developing effective problem-solving strategies for homework, quizzes, and exams.
Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

I am an undergraduate engineering student with strong experience in mechanical systems, controls, and hands-on design. My work includes developing integrated mechanical and sensing systems, designing components in CAD, and building and testing prototypes using machining and fabrication tools. I also have experience analyzing material performance through experimental methods and applying concepts from mechanics, thermodynamics, and systems engineering. Through both project work and teaching assistant roles, I am comfortable explaining mechanical engineering concepts clearly and helping students apply them to real problems.
