I have several years of experience working directly with students in both 1:1 and small group educational settings, and I genuinely love helping students grow in both skills and confidence. I currently work as a tutor at Huntington Learning Center, where I support elementary and middle school students in reading, writing, and math. Previously, I worked as a tutor at Sylvan Learning Center, where I completed formal training in reading, writing, mathematics, and beginning reading instruction. Across both roles, I've worked with students with a wide range of academic needs and learning styles.

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy with a minor in Biology, which gave me a strong foundation in human development, learning, and communication. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and individualized. I love figuring out exactly where a student is getting stuck and approaching the concept from different angles until we find the explanation that clicks. One of the most rewarding parts of tutoring for me is helping students move from "I can't do this" to genuine confidence and understanding.

I enjoy working with elementary, middle school, and adult learners in subjects such as reading, writing, study skills, and foundational math through pre algebra/Algebra I level concepts. Whether a student needs help catching up, building confidence, strengthening study habits, or simply having concepts explained in a clearer way, my goal is to create a supportive and productive learning environment where they can succeed.
