I'm a retired biochemist with a PhD and decades of research and teaching experience. I hold patents and wrote Coupled Bioluminescent Assays (Wiley & Sons, 2008). I've spent decades studying cancer biology, developing measurement methods, and learning how enzymes work.

I'm a retired biochemist with a PhD and decades of research and teaching experience. I hold patents and wrote Coupled Bioluminescent Assays (Wiley & Sons, 2008). I've spent decades studying cancer biology, developing measurement methods, and learning how enzymes work.
But my favorite "sweet spot" is telling people about science. I like to think I can explain anything to anyone, and I find joy in doing that. I tutor one-on-one because that's where I've always done my best teaching. Once you see why something works, suddenly the problems seem easy. Learners leave each session with a mental model and concrete techniques they can use with confidence.
Subjects I tutor: biochemistry, general and organic chemistry, MCAT biology and biochemistry, AP Chemistry, and math through pre-calculus.
Whether you're a pre-med student wrestling with enzyme kinetics, a high schooler preparing for AP Chem, or an adult learner returning to science, I'd love to help.
I offer a free 15-minute chat to see if we're a match.
