Hi, my name is Satchel! I am a pre-law senior at the University of Washington. I began my LSAT journey in June, 2025. After three months of self-guided study, I increased my score over 15 points to a 177. My approach to the LSAT centered on efficiency, identifying the structure of the test and using it to my advantage. I created an approach to each question type for both Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension sections which allowed me to focus specifically on what the LSAT is really asking and ignore everything else. This approach allowed me to essentially remove the time constraint of the test and ensure that I was answering each question to the absolute best of my ability.

While studying, I realized just how frustrating and tedious the process can be. There were plenty of days where I felt I would never reach my goal. For this reason, I think it is important to practice not just the LSAT itself, but also a mindset which allows you best to handle adversity and setbacks. I strongly believe one's performance on the LSAT is based just as much on their test-day confidence as it is on their mastery of content. I can work with you to create that mindset, helping to prevent burnout and even find enjoyment in the LSAT.

Since receiving my score, I have been teaching fellow pre-law students at UW about the LSAT. I have helped give presentations and led LSAT workshops to pre-law organizations on campus and have recently begun one-on-one tutoring. I am excited to continue spreading my knowledge of the LSAT!
