I am a statistician by training with an M.S. in Statistics from the University of Washington (2025) and a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Nevada, Reno (2022). My teaching experience includes serving as a graduate teaching assistant for introductory statistics courses and mentoring students in one-on-one academic settings. I now provide individualized, structured, one-on-one statistics instruction for high school and early college students, with a focus on AP Statistics and introductory university level material.
My instruction is structured and AP-aligned. I teach students how to translate prompts into the appropriate procedure, check assumptions and conditions precisely, and communicate results using clear, rubric-appropriate conclusions. Sessions are instructor-led and built around the student’s course pacing and recurring skill gaps. A typical session includes direct instruction on key definitions and standard AP workflow, guided problem-solving with targeted prompts and corrections, and an independent check near the end to confirm the student can execute without coaching. I also integrate TI 84 Plus CE calculator skills so students can handle computations efficiently and present correct work under time pressure.
Because each student’s needs are different, I adapt pacing, examples, and practice sets based on what I observe in real time and in the student’s written work. If you are looking for structured support that builds durable habits in setup, justification, interpretation, and statistical writing, I would be glad to discuss fit and goals.
