I hold a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Hawai'i, where I also served as a Teaching Assistant for three years. In that role, I taught and supported undergraduate students across introductory and upper-division physics and math courses through lectures, discussion sections, office hours, and one-on-one help. I hold a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Hawai'i, where I also served as a Teaching Assistant for three years. In that role, I taught and supported undergraduate students across introductory and upper-division physics and math courses through lectures, discussion sections, office hours, and one-on-one help. This experience gave me a strong foundation in explaining complex concepts clearly, identifying where students get stuck, and adapting explanations to different learning styles and levels of preparation.

In addition to my academic background, I have over a decade of professional experience as a software engineer and data scientist, where I regularly apply advanced mathematics, physics-based reasoning, and problem-solving skills in real-world contexts. This industry experience allows me to help students connect abstract material to practical applications, strengthen their analytical thinking, and build confidence in approaching unfamiliar problems rather than memorizing formulas.

I have also worked extensively as a tutor outside of academia. I provided in-home tutoring through Tutor Doctor and previously taught at a Sylvan Learning Center, working with students ranging from elementary school through community college across a wide range of abilities. This included supporting students with learning differences and special needs, as well as students seeking enrichment or advanced coursework support. Across these settings, I have worked one-on-one and in small-group environments, focusing on patience, structure, and helping students develop independent problem-solving skills they can carry forward.
