Hello, I'm Angela! I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry with Honors from the University of Washington. I discovered my love for science in middle school and a love for teaching science later on when I became a Chemistry teaching assistant at my university. While teaching this quarter-long general chemistry course to about 30 undergraduate students, I thought back to when I first learned the basics of chemistry. I realized how important this foundation was and how it fostered my curiosity and impacted my future.
Therefore, while my main goal for my students is for them to learn, understand, and apply concepts, an equally important goal is for the students to enjoy and maybe even love science and learning. I aspire to teach in a way that encourages and challenges students while also providing an enjoyable and comfortable environment for asking questions and voicing their own insights and thoughts.
I hope to help students reach their educational goals by providing personalized lesson planning and constant opportunities for students to chart their own course in how they learn best. I always welcome any feedback and suggestions from both students and parents. Feel free to contact me with any additional questions! I look forward to working with you.
