Hi!
My name is Anthony. I graduated from Olin College of Engineering (U.S. News #3 in engineering) with a degree in Applied Mathematics, 2 years of professional programming experience, and 15+ years of hobby computer programming experience.
I know the feeling of learning something but not "understanding" it, and I dedicated many cumulative weeks outside of my classes and homework to get that understanding, to answer that "why?" question. My approach to tutoring is to help students identify where they feel loss (because sometimes it's hard to put to words what you don't understand) and then to apply personalized techniques based on my own experience to satisfying that need for understanding.
I am most interested in working with middle school, high school, and some college students on math. I am comfortable tutoring up to and including calculus. And I can tutor anyone in computer programming.
