I am a dedicated educator with a strong background in mathematics instruction at both the secondary and collegiate levels. I hold teaching experience as a University Adjunct Professor of Mathematics at the University of Guam, where I taught over 150 students each semester from 2015 to 2017. During that time, I developed and delivered engaging lessons that combined technology and active learning strategies to help students grasp complex mathematical concepts. My focus was always on making math accessible and meaningful—showing students not just how to solve problems, but why the logic behind them matters.

Before that, I taught high school mathematics at a High School under the Guam Department of Education. There, I worked with students across a variety of skill levels, helping increase standardized test passing rates by nearly 80%. I led initiatives such as the Mathematics Honor Society and the Go Green organization, which allowed me to integrate leadership, collaboration, and real-world application into my teaching. These experiences taught me that every student learns differently, and success comes from meeting them where they are—with patience, encouragement, and clarity.

My tutoring journey actually began years earlier through AmeriCorps, where I provided one-on-one and small-group tutoring to both secondary and college students. I also coordinated and trained volunteer tutors and organized community service events, strengthening my ability to mentor and motivate others. Across all these experiences, I’ve found that what truly drives learning is connection—creating a space where students feel supported, confident, and inspired to think critically. My approach is student-centered, flexible, and focused on building both understanding and confidence in mathematics.
