I earned a BA with a focus in music technology as well as university level accreditation for advanced studio and music production for my hands-on work in a professional studio enviornment, working with artists to bring their projects to life through collaborative sessions of brainstorming, writing and arranging, and studio recording, always putting the artist's vision first. I selected appropriate equipment as a recording engineer and arranged tracks to the artist's specifications as a producer, taking feedback on choices and adjusting to set the artist up for success in meeting their personal goals.
As a student, I carried out a year-long internship as a TA for an electronics in music class, in which I worked one-on-one with students from a broad range of experience levels. This included troubleshooting specialized audio hardware and answering questions, as well as offering inspiration and creative assistance for students who felt stuck. I've also mentored students who were beginners at working with computers who weren't sure where to even start, as I guided them through making the creative process work for them while using advanced software and technology.
I believe teaching works best as a collaboration; tutoring sessions will always be guided by your needs, and we can work together to make a lesson plan which works for you. I'm highly experienced Ableton Live as well as FL Studio, and have further experience with Pro Tools & Reaper. I'm ready to share my knowledge with you!
