I am a practicing attorney. I have also volunteered as co-chair of my local minority bar association's prep program since summer 2023. I have provided group and one-on-one bar exam instruction for all types of learners who are enrolled in various prep courses (e.g., Barbri, Kaplan, Quimbee and Themis), so am familiar with the existing methodologies. I recognize that the commercial bar prep courses are not exactly interactive, so I can provide value in giving you real-time personalized feedback and communicating it in such a way that resonates with you. Rather than providing you with general advice, I will effectively help you develop strategies for approaching the specific areas you may be struggling with.
I am confident I can help you pass the bar exam by giving you techniques to simplify the MEE, MPT, and MBE, helping you reduce your scope to a memorize-able amount, and focusing on rule statements and application/analyses you don't understand (yet). I can help you efficiently utilize materials you already have, and can provide you with materials I have created as well.
A little about me: I have a JD from University of Colorado (Boulder) and have been practicing law for more than ten years. I am currently an Assistant Attorney General. I spent more than four years tutoring at my local library, and have taught at my local community college's continuing ed program. I've also worked as a coach for distance runners and triathletes. Above all, I love to teach. I find personal fulfilment in helping future lawyers study for the bar exam, which is why I've chosen to spend my free time this way. I look forward to helping you pass!
