Hi there! My name is Mimi, and I hold a B.S. with a minor in Computer Science, as well as an Associate's degree in General Studies with an emphasis in STEM.

Hi there! My name is Mimi, and I hold a B.S. with a minor in Computer Science, as well as an Associate's degree in General Studies with an emphasis in STEM.
While I am not a teacher by trade, I began tutoring part-time and fell in love with the field. I have professional experience tutoring at-risk high school youth for the county probation department and providing academic support to homeschooled elementary schoolers.
Over the years, I’ve assisted family, friends, classmates, and clients with a variety of subjects, from homework help to exam preparation. I especially enjoy helping students craft personal statements and resumes, and I would love to help you find your voice in high school and college English classes. I love guiding students through the college admissions process, and recently helped a client gain admission (with scholarships!) to both Georgetown and Pepperdine.
My goal is to make learning engaging, effective, and rewarding. I understand that each student has a unique learning style, and I adapt my tutoring methods accordingly. Whether it's simplifying technical concepts, walking through practice problems, or helping with study strategies, I work closely with each student to ensure they feel confident and prepared. I believe that practice is key, and I encourage students to work through problems themselves while providing guidance along the way.
If you have any questions or want to schedule a lesson, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m quick to respond and look forward to working with you!
