Outstanding Math Tutor
Our son was behind on many math topics in 12G IB AI HL math as for a few months he had decided he was going to go ahead with AP’s instead. When he then decided to pursue the IB, he had missed a lot of the explanations. He started lessons with Edward and within a couple of months he ended up getting the outstanding results of a 7 (paper 1), 6 (paper 2) and & (paper 3) on the IB AI HL math of May 2025. Not only was it a success academically but he genuinely enjoyed his lessons with Edward. A very intelligent tutor who not only explained very well and at the perfect speed but also made the lessons very engaging. He was also able to identify the gap areas. Always reliable, in a good mood and with a good sense of humour as well.

Edward is currently tutoring my son in IB Math. The improvement that has been made has been incredible. My son says that Edward is very adaptable & understanding with being able to figure out how a person learns and retains the information. His knowledge, attitude and personality make the sessions a breeze. Not only is Edward extremely knowledgeable, he is also great with communication, checking in on the student and suggesting ways for them to independently study that suit their needs. Improved from B to A in a few weeks.
Mr. Edward improved her grade in IB HL maths from a B to an A in only a few weeks of classes. For example, he taped a video of solving a maths problem my daughter asked because that was in between the scheduled classes. And he has been very responsive to my daughter between class questions. He is also easy to communicate with and has been very flexible to accommodate our scheduling conflicts. Update: The recap of each lesson afterwards is really helpful! Update: She looked happy after the session (instead of looking tired) because she was able to understand the concept and fell how helpful it was, that said a lot about the teacher!

As someone who was a bit daunted by how broad the GRE quant section was, Edward made everything seem simple and approachable. He thoughtfully planned out our lessons and communicated very effectively. I never felt overwhelmed and even enjoyed learning math after a bit (never before been the case)! After just a few sessions, my GRE quant score bumped up 4 points, getting my my goal score. Would absolutely recommend.

Mr. K has far surpassed all expectations I had for Math tutoring in every one of our sessions. Not only is he highly organized, efficient and communicative, his ability to simplify complex mathematical concepts visually and verbally has transformed the way I understand the connections between all my mathematical topics. He helped me prepare for my SL AI Final IB Exam (standard level applications and interpretations) by organizing review sessions for my weaker areas and helping me delve deeper into my conceptual understanding of stronger areas as well. What I like most about working with him is that he pushes you to internalize what's being covered in every session through constant repetition and practice. I truly leave each session feeling like I've achieved something. Edward helped my daughter so much with her IB math internal assessment. Going into the lesson, my daughter didn't have a clear understanding of what was expected from the IA.
