I have extensive experience with graduate school admissions. I have mentored 20+ students through the graduate school application process and I have served on the executive board of a non-profit aimed at providing pro-bono assistance to students looking to apply to graduate school & medical school. I love training junior scientists and pushing my passion for science education forward.
I am a PhD candidate/academic researcher in Molecular Medicine with 10+ years of tutoring experience. I have received both; NIH intramural/extramural fellowships for my research. I have written scientific papers published in high-impact journals and served as reviewer for manuscripts in preparation. I have taught basic science courses at the graduate level in medical schools as well as, 1:1 tutoring for students ranging from high school to undergrad.
I work with students who are applying to graduate/medical school and need help with resume/CV and personal statement editing. I also work with professionals looking to building their resume and drafting their cover letter. I have 2 types of options of service to my students:
Option #1: I am flexible with 1-2 sessions at my rate (listed on my page) to help with resume/CV editing or personal statement proofreading. Option #2: The journey to applying to graduate school can be long and tiresome. I serve as a strategist who coaches you on how to review a graduate program and how to figure out if it could be a good fit, and how to put a strong application before an admissions committee. Most importantly, I am capable of coaching you through the interview process. I have a different rate for this option. For students that require this service, I offer a free, no-commitment consultation to see if we’re a good fit. This is usually a shorter session where we discuss your goals and what you need the most guidance on then we put together a plan to get you applied with the strongest application.
At the moment, I am only available for online sessions. I am based in PST zone.
