Hello! My name is Konnor! I am a Latin teacher with his doctorate, and I am offering tutoring in a variety of disciplines.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Classics from Grinnell College and I completed the Education Program where I earned my teaching licensure from the state of Iowa in World History and Latin. I went on to earn a post-baccalaureate from UCLA in Classics, then a master's degrees in Classics from the University at Buffalo where I taught at the university level. I the moved to Seattle where I earned my PhD in Classics from the University of Washington while teaching. I have taught Latin at my current school since 2019, where I have also taught P.E. and Health class.
I have tutored students in various subjects since high school, ranging from math, reading comprehension skills, test prep, Latin, and many others. In addition to the Latin language, I have extensive experience in reading, writing, math, and standardized testing. I received a 5 on the AP Calculus AB Exam, a 32 on the ACT, the equivalent on the SAT, and in the 160s on the GRE.
I offer a humanistic approach that focuses on the students social and emotional well-being in addition to the academic subject at hand. I talk openly about the tips, tricks, and strategies that we can employ to see behind the scenes of schoolwork and testing so that we can achieve academic success.
