I majored in engineering and minored in math. My career was in telecom/computers with extensive mathematical analytics. I tutor almost any college and high school math course. I get a thrill in watching the light turn on students' heads when they see how easy math can be once it's explained

John was very knowledgeable in all the math problems I brought to him. He was courteous and very easy to understand. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing help with their math.

John M. was awesome to work with. We worked over a long period of time with John on a regular basis like every week to tutor in Algebra 2. Maybe it was a semester or a year? He is a very good tutor and worked with with my 20 year old son somewhat difficult, unorganized and erratic. These extra challenges were no problem for John. John was consistently supportive and helpful, and worked to accommodate schedule changes, as needed. He is a kind and caring person. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

We are very pleased with John as tutor for our children. He is adapting his approach based on the specific need of each of our children, so that he gets them engaged and they enjoy the sessions while at the same time learn.

John has now been working with my daughter for 5 weeks. He has been able to demystify Geometry and Algebra ll in minutes for her. She has gained so much confidence in such a short time and its showing in her grades. She always looks forwards to her time with him. He is kind, patient, and is completely relatable. I couldn't recommend him any higher.

John is exactly what my son needs in a tutoring. He knows the subject, is very patient and can break down the concepts. Wonderful!

John M. seems to be a good tutor. His demeanor is gentle, he is soft-spoken and patient. After a first meeting, my daughter felt more confident about her math ability and moderately willing to continue with this tutor.

General Computer, Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have tutored several students on this test for entry into our armed services. I am a U.S. Navy veteran and know the skills desired and the type of environment they will face in the service. I can tell quickly what math skills they need to concentrate on and bring different lessons to them.

I have a Master's in electrical engineering and 27 hours of math included in that. I've tutored Calculus in almost every high school and college in the north Dallas/Plano area.

I've taught and tutored Geometry in virtually every high school in the Plano and surrounding areas. While Geometry is at least 50-70% algebra review in solving problems, proofs, logic and the intricacies of the theorems leave many students behind. My way of explaining is very simple and easy to understand.

Having tutored GMAT quantitative mathematics quite a bit, explaining how to solve these word problems and the logic behind some of them is the key to passing this section of GMAT. Many students have problems with word problems, especially the type found in GMAT, and if English is their 2nd language, this becomes an even greater challenge. My ability to explain things simply and in a mathematical setting, is my expertise.

I have used Outlook for over 12 years. It is very sophisticated, complex and difficult to understand, but provides one the protection of emails at their own site, rather than in the could with a web based email.

Algebra is the fundamental process for all future mathematics. Algebraic techniques just increase in complexity yet with simplicity if the basics are understood. I have a great way of showing and teaching these basics for all math courses, especially at this stage of learning. A student's vocabulary of mathematics is quite large even at this early stage, so simple explanations and solutions are required - and that's where I excel...

PreCalculus has several different sections but is not necessarily progressive from one section to the next. Honors or PreAP PreCalc is challenging especially if the teachers take the "tricky" route with some of the subjects. I have a great methodology of explaining and making these areas simple, which also applies to the basic PreCalc classes.

I've taught SAT in high school and every summer for several years at SMU Plano.

I've tutored TAKS for several years. It requires algebra and geometry techniques in a straight forward manner, and is not as tricky as the ACT or SAT tests.

I took this same test a few years ago going for my teaching certificate. I aced it. I've tutored several people in it recently who are going into Nursing, Teaching, etc. Math is basically the same until you get into PreCalc, Calculus and Linear Algebra. I can tell what needs to be worked on quickly, and then normally bring sample tests, etc. to work on as your memory returns and Algebra/Geometry become easier.

Trig is learned a little in Algebra, Geometry and PreCalculus, depending upon the school district. Trig is very simple and easy to understand if stated properly with easy to remember guidelines. My method of tutoring this subject is very simple and easy to remember for the students.
