I have over 30 years of teaching experience from early childhood development through graduate school. I am an expert in several areas, especially test preparation (i.e. SAT, ACT, GRE, PRAXIS, PPR EC-12). My reviews reflect a portion of those whom I have helped overcome and conquer tests that they had previously failed. I am a Reading Specialist certified to teach PreK-12 and English as a Second Language (ESL). I have taught as a college professor in Education Departments for 15 years (I also teach teachers!) Many students have come back and told me that they were moved to pursue education because of the impact my presence as a teacher has had on their learning journey.

I have a bright classroom in my home equipped with hundreds of books and learning tools.

I raised three amazing daughters who are all successful college graduates. I have time to invest in students who need individualized attention to reach their full learning potential. I provide a safe and inviting learning environment in person or online. Reach out today! I look forward to helping you to reach and exceed your goals.

Wonderful Tutor

Lynn Odnovyun is the best tutor that has ever worked with my granddaughter. She is a skilled reading specialist that has in one month made tremendous progress with my granddaughter. What I really like about her is the friendly relaxed atmosphere she creates as she works with my child. My granddaughter loves her. Lynn is amazing! I would highly recommend her to any parent seeking help for their children. Great Job Lynn!!

Knowledge and patient.

My daughter took the SAT and didn’t score well on the math part. Lynn helped my daughter remember algebra techniques. She explained everything in detail and gave her homework. Great teacher!

Great tutor!

I would strongly recommend Mrs. Lynn! With only a few weeks before my TExES exam, her method of teaching helped cover everything we needed in the limited time. She was very encouraging and helped me through the entire process step by step. I was highly impressed and satisfied! Thank you Mrs. Lynn!

Very positive and patient!

Lynn is a very positive and patient tutor. My son is in the second grade and has ADHD, which can be challenging for a tutor at times. She is very flexible with her lessons, integrating both my son's homework and her own methods and teaching styles. She has even provided effective take home methods for extra practice. My son enjoys his time with Ms. Lynn and leaves her sessions telling me about his own progress.

Very patient and personable

Lynn O. is a very patient and kind tutor. She works with our 10 year old with reading, comprehension, and vocabulary. She gets to know the student and works with their likes and dislikes. She also learns about them and evaluates their abilities. We are happy with her and look forward to a good year ahead.

Awesome tutor

My son did not want anything to do with tutoring. I thought he would just go through the motions, but Lynn is so patient and encouraging that he seemed to be a different person, not just in school, but his attitude has improved. She has given him confidence and helps him understand the importance of doing his homework and turning it in on time. She has given him some great organization tips and her feedback is that he knew right where to find his work in his binder. It is no longer a mess of papers, rather it has a method and purpose. I highly, highly recommend her. When I tell her what he is working on in school, she will go out of her way to get additional information regarding the subject or go the library and check out English books, Cliff notes, etc to help him. These types of things she does because she cares. She doesn't have to do that, but she definitely has a talent and gift for children. She is warm, friendly and you just automatically feel like you have known her forever. She just has a personality that grabs you like a friendly embrace. Thanks Lynn!!

Very patient!

My son is very shy and hesitant when working with new people. Lynn was very patient and asked open-ended questions so that he would respond. By the end of our session he was talking and responding. She did a great job of getting him to participate by the end. Great first session.
