Teaching Digital Media has been the heart of my career for the past 20 years. With both a bachelor's and a master's degree, and certification in computer and business education, I help students confidently navigate today's creative tools and workflows. Before moving into the classroom, I worked as a systems engineer for Apple Computer, so I bring a strong technical foundation and deep familiarity with the Mac ecosystem to every lesson. My current classroom uses Windows PCs, which means I work in both environments every day and am fully fluent in both macOS and Windows.
In my current role as a high school Digital Media teacher, I design and teach courses that blend graphic design, video production, audio editing, and digital storytelling. I also run my own podcast, handling all aspects of audio production, video production, and graphic design myself. This real world creative work keeps my skills current and allows me to share practical, industry relevant techniques with my students.
Over the years, I have taught in both traditional classroom settings and one on one, and I understand that every learner brings a unique set of goals, strengths, and challenges. My approach is patient, encouraging, and hands on: I focus on building skills step by step, explaining not just which buttons to click, but why certain choices work better than others. Whether you are a student, professional, or hobbyist, my goal is to help you become more confident, independent, and creative with digital media on either Mac or Windows.
