Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction. My teaching certifications are in EC-6th grade (Generalist--all subjects), 4th-8th grade Math, and ESL Supplemental. I have 12 years of experience teaching elementary public school (Kinder - 3rd grade) and have taught all subjects at some time or another throughout my career....

My biggest areas of specialty are Reading, Math, & ESL.
I believe in helping students understand the foundations of something before just teaching an algorithm or shortcut method. I also believe in using lots of vocabulary/visual support for all students to aid in quicker and deeper comprehension. During the COVID pandemic, I taught virtually for about 1.5 years. In my teaching experience, I also learned to incorporate small group teaching regularly, which is a lot like tutoring. The last two years of my experience, I left the traditional classroom setting and became a math interventionist on my campus, working one-on-one or with small groups of struggling or behind students everyday, all day. I am here to help! I truly believe that the best is yet to come! We can do this together! :)
