My name is Sara, and I’m an English and art tutor with over a decade of experience tutoring both online and in-person. I graduated college summa cum laude with a BA in English and minors in creative writing and art in 2019, and have since become a published author and poet. I have a philosophy that anyone can learn, and that tutoring should be tailored to each student's unique needs in order to best foster the learning process. I have experience with all grade levels, and am currently tutoring students online from elementary school to college-level on any art or English-related assignments (be that essay writing, creative writing, grammar, study skills, analysis, or even college application essays). I have also successfully worked with several students who are autistic or have ADHD.
Writing and critical thinking are invaluable skills, as they help you better express yourself through both the written and spoken word. My passion is helping anyone who wants to learn find confidence in their abilities, and providing them tools they can use for the rest of their lives. No matter your educational background, if you want to learn, I am willing to teach. I believe anyone can grow their writing skills to their top potential, and I want to help you get there.
Art has also been a long-standing interest of mine, and I enjoy showing others that anyone can create; all it takes it allowing yourself to try.
Tutoring sessions can be centered around specific classwork you or your child needs help with, but I also offer lessons I, myself, created to help students learn skills they will need for current and future schooling and beyond. My curated lessons vary by grade and ability level, and are intended to be supplemental to the student’s school work, allowing them to bolster skills and get ahead in their classes.
