Hi! I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Austin (GPA = 3.9/4.0). During my undergraduate studies, I served as a Teaching Assistant for General Chemistry I (CH301) and General Chemistry II (CH302), where I spent over three years tutoring college students both one-on-one and in small group settings. I also taught the General Chemistry Laboratory (CH204) course, which strengthened my ability to explain complex chemistry topics clearly and help students connect theory to practice.

I also tutor High School Biology, Introductory Biology I, and Introductory Biology II. As a Neuroscience major, I have taken multiple advanced biology courses, from intro biology to biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, animal biology, and several upper-division neuroscience courses that rigorously test and rely on a thorough understanding of biology fundamentals.

My teaching approach is highly visual and interactive. I use step-by-step explanations, detailed diagrams, concept maps, and clear analogies to simplify challenging concepts. I also incorporate active learning strategies such as spaced repetition, mini-quizzes, and guided problem solving to promote long-term understanding so you are fully prepared on test day. I rely on my personal tried-and-tested strategies that have helped me earn As in these courses.

Because I have recently studied and taught these subjects, I'm familiar with how these concepts are currently taught and tested in today’s high school and college classrooms. I’ve likely used the same textbooks and materials as you or your student, which helps me align my tutoring approach to the content students are covering in class and focus on what is truly important for exams.

Algebra 1

Hi! I have taken several advanced mathematics courses from pre-algebra, Algebra I, and Algebra II to college-level calculus. Having studied these topics recently as a student, I understand how to best teach challenging concepts to other students using a visual learning approach and step-by-step explanations. I utilize personal tried-and-true study strategies that helped me earn As in Algebra 1 as a student.

Essay Writing

Essay Writing

Essay writing doesn’t end after the summer–fall college application cycle. Scholarship applications, often due the following spring, are critical to student success, helping students afford their dream schools or reduce thousands of dollars in student loan debt. During my 2021-2022 college application cycle, I spent months writing my Common Application, university-specific supplemental essays, and scholarship program essays which allowed me to gain acceptances and scholarships at Vanderbilt University, Rice University, Emory University, and The University of Texas at Austin, where I graduated with a B.S. in Neuroscience. I am well-prepared to help you or your child/student craft engaging, unique, and impressive essays that helps them secure admissions and scholarships during this ongoing 2025-2026 application cycle. Moreover, having taken several college-level English courses, from AP Language and Composition, AP Literature and Composition, and English Literature, I possess an excellent understanding of key rhetoric and writing principles that allows me to assist students of all grade levels at any stage of writing their essays, whether it be brainstorming ideas or editing and revising a final draft.

Neuroscience

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from The University of Texas at Austin. I received a 4.0/4.0 (A) in several neuroscience courses, including Neural Systems I, II, and III, Principles of Drug Action, Neurobiology of Addiction, Principles of Animal Behavior, and Language and the Brain. As a recent graduate, I benefit from having recently learned these concepts and therefore am up-to-date on what is being taught in today's classrooms.
