Hello!
My name is Fidel, and I am a current medical school student as well as a recent graduate of Johns Hopkins University, class of 2023. As a doctoral candidate, I've spent the majority of my life learning through exemplary professors and tutors alike. A passion of mine is the experience of learning - I realized that the classes that I enjoyed and still continue to pursue were sparked through a mentor who not only taught through reasoning and logic, but also through the application of learning in daily life. My goal as a tutor is to spark the same passion where talent and hard work meet. I always start the introductory session creatively, and I walk through questions and problems step by step, encouraging students to take notes while I have my own copy for them. After the sessions, I encourage students to tackle problem sets that I create, and students can personally call or text me throughout the week!
I have worked as a teaching assistant for Physics & Calculus over my three years in college, and I have 4 years of private tutoring experience on college admissions tests (99th percentile SAT scorer, perfect ACT scorer). My tutoring method is completely student-oriented, and I have experience in tutoring individual STEM classes such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geometry, Algebra I, Algebra II, and Calculus I.
I would love to assist in any of these categories, and it would be a pleasure to meet you, whether online or in person! Please reach out to me if you have any questions!
