I am a senior at Texas Christian University as a pre-med student majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I’ve completed all of my medical school prerequisite courses in biology, chemistry, and physics, which has given me a strong foundation in these subjects.
I’ve worked as a teaching assistant for General Chemistry, where I held weekly office hours to help students tackle difficult concepts and work through homework problems. I am also currently a Biochemistry Learning Assistant for this semester. When tutoring, I like to ask leading questions to encourage students to think critically and work through challenges independently before stepping in. I also focus on breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable pieces. I am comfortable working with students who have different learning styles whether they may like to work more independently or like to have discussions while working.
I scored in the 97th percentile on the MCAT, with a 100th percentile score in the Psych/Soc section, 96th percentile scores in both the Chem/Phys and Bio/Biochem sections, and 90th percentile in CARS. I’m passionate about helping others succeed whether that’s mastering biology, chemistry, or preparing for the MCAT.
