Well prepared and patient tutor

Recently, I decided to brush up on my Japanese language after a break of 10 years. I found Atsuko-san through Wyzant, our first lesson was fantastic. Atsuko-san quickly tested what I knew and remembered of the grammar and vocabulary, and concepts that I needed to review further. After the lesson I received 10 files from her that contained detailed information for brushing up on vocabulary and grammar. These files, prepared by her for other students, had lots of very good information and clarification on some tricky concepts (better than the textbooks on the market) . Atsuko-san responds to phone message and emails promptly. I intend to to continue to take lessons from her.

Incredibly helpful and kind teacher

I have been tutored by Atsuko Sensei for around two months now and I must say she puts more effort into her lessons then any other teacher I have seen. She has helped me with a translation of a story in order the help me improve my Japanese, created several lesson plans based on input in order to make the lessons fun as well as productive. She is also one of the most approachable teachers I have met, constantly responding to texts and emails throughout the week, making learning a continuous process instead of something done once a week. If you live nearby I would recommend Atsuko Sensei over any other tutor.
