Hi, I’m Keith.

I built my entire teaching philosophy around the idea that learning should be fun.

To me, standardized tests have always felt like intellectual puzzles: Although they are challenging (sometimes even frustrating), they are also incredibly fun to solve. Standardized tests have an undeserved reputation for being boring. Quite the contrary, they actually provide a fascinating glimpse into the most profound fields of human knowledge—math, science, history, law, etc. By taking this perspective, I make the process of test prep far more enjoyable for my students.

I can help you achieve test results that you never dreamed were possible.

More than 20 years ago, when I was a student at the University of Notre Dame, I began teaching GED classes for adults who had dropped out of high school. That is still some of the most compelling work I have ever done. Since then, I have become a passionate mentor for people taking many other high-stakes exams, such as the bar exam, the LSAT, and the MCAT. Helping people achieve their dreams through test prep has become part of my professional persona.

My virtual classroom can be a launchpad for your career.

I reject the notion that standardized tests are just arbitrary hoops or hurdles; I don’t believe that tests are mere obstacles in the path of professional success. Instead, I think of standardized tests as springboards, capable of providing intellectual inertia for the next stage of your career. By mastering exams such as the LSAT and the bar exam, I secured coveted positions as a litigator at a Vault 100 law firm, and as a professor at the University of Texas at Austin. I would love to help you study for your next exam. My expertise is at your disposal!

I have been playing chess since I was 8 years old. My dad and I used to play in the evenings, and I fondly remember the first time I beat him. I am a huge fan of Yasser Seirawan's books, which I use to review with my students.

An excellent tutor

I went to Keith predominantly for help on the LSAT games section and logical reasoning. He's taught me very helpful approaches and techniques for different game types, and more insightful ways to approach logical reasoning questions. He's also given me very helpful tips on how to go about my own study. The net result, I feel, has been a considerable increase in my confidence and skills level. On the side, I've also benefited a lot from Keith's passing on more general advice about an LSAT testing plan and law school applications. To summarize his teaching, I'd say Keith is very logical and thoughtful, he has strong mastery of the LSAT content, and he's got a knack for teaching. Tutorials with him have been great.

Knowledgeable and experienced.

My LSAT journey so far has not been the easiest. After a couple of sessions with Keith, I can confidently say I did benefit from him, but only to an extent. While I loved his honesty throughout the sessions, I felt several instances where his attitude toward my learning was uncalled for. He is understanding but not patient enough. He constantly reminded me not to take the test soon, which I did not appreciate. I was looking for a tutor with experience, mainly to have someone who could help me get 100% accuracy. I asked Keith to help me with a more challenging logic games problem which he claimed isn't on the actual test anymore, which is fine. However, when one of the entire sessions is dedicated to that one game because the tutor himself is just as confused as you, if not more, I think it's easy to say I wasted $87 more than once.

Knowledgeable and patient tutor

I like Keith style of tutoring. He help me a lot with improving my legal research memo. He had some great ideas about the organization of the memo. I appreciate his time and effort. Especially, available at the last minute. Thank you very much.

great teacher

Very informative and takes time to explain and break down the process of logic games. Is understanding and will not move on until you are confident in learning the material!

This man saved my life!

I started working with Keith mid December after a 4-week intensive test-prep program with one of the large LSAT prep companies that had not sufficiently prepared me for my target score. Keith and I worked for a total of SIX months, and he made it as pain-free as possible. Working with Keith allowed us to analyze my strengths and weaknesses, come up with specific study plans and strategies together, and learn the triple-review method. Keith’s triple-review method is what stood out for me above anyone else I interviewed with for LSAT prep. While it may seem tedious, it really helps you break down each section and understand your incorrect and correct thought processes. Keith is amazing at explaining things in numerous ways, so if you don’t understand his reasoning the first time he has no problem rephrasing it over and over again until you are on the same page. He is a super supportive and encouraging tutor and made me feel like I was the only student he was working with. Keith is super knowledgeable regarding the changes that LSAC makes to the test over time, and tweaks his methods to accommodate the new techniques students will have to understand, which is key to your LSAT success. I would recommend Keith to anyone who is starting from square one with LSAT prep, or someone who was not pleased with their large company LSAT prep experience. My score improved around 5 points, but more importantly, I understood the concepts way better than I did with the large test-prep companies. I can honestly say that I will miss my study sessions with Keith and can’t wait to return to him for Law School help and Bar prep.

Very Knowledgeable and Patient

Met Mr. Keith via Wyzant to prepare me for the forthcoming Texas Bar exam. Right from our first meeting, he set up a brilliant schedule which works very well for me. During our meetings, he breaks the law and/or questions down to the level at which I can understand and remember them. I will HIGHLY recommend Mr. Keith to anyone who is in need of a serious-minded tutor who cares enough for the success of the student. God bless you, Mr. Keith!
