I am a certified teacher in the state of Texas in Science 8 - 12. I currently teach IPC at Alvin High School

I've completed all related chemistry courses, including general chemistry and organic chemistry. I've also done well in the related laboratory courses.

I'm proficient in writing lab reports and give the basic structure on what needs to be covered in a typical lab report. I've also taken AP chemsitry in highschool.

I am fluent in Italian, in both written and oral. I've done two years of Italian in college, and I'm also a first generation Italian American, speaking Italian at home and with family.

I've taken many math courses throughout my college years and also in high school, including calculus I/II, multivariable calculus, elementary differential equations, and linear algebra. I've taken AP calculus in highschool, and received a 3 on the AP Exam.

For some students, science and math can be daunting due to the amount of math concepts needed for that subject. I can take those concepts and break them down into simple and easy to follow ways for the student to grasp, without struggling. I will work with the student to hone in on their skills and what needs to be worked on to bring the two together to help build on their foundation for the class.

My tutoring methods vary from student to student depending on the subject and their needs. I'm flexible in adjusting and going at the student's pace. I'm capable of coming up with lesson plans, sample questions and examples that are easy to follow, understand, and applicable to the subject at hand.

I am kind, patient and willing to work hard with the student to help them get through their class and understanding of the material. I'm prepared, organized, neat, and have a great attitude for teaching those of any age.

I'm flexible in hours and days of the wee

Phonics

I've tutored a Kindergartener, who has having trouble with reading and phonics. To review the basic phonics, we went through each of the sounds of consonants and a little bit of vowels. In addition, we did blended sounds such as fr-, bl-, etc, to encourage recognition of them in small reading passages, therefore increasing their confidence in recognizing words, and the sounds they made. This led to the student's succession in learning to read and pronunciation I've also have done this in a Kindergarten classroom as a substitute.

The writing portion deals with grammatical issues, punctuation, correct grammar rules, and one essay. This is an exam that is built like the SAT's except much broader. The "Perfect" Tutor

It’s been a pleasure working with Stephanie over the past three months. There is honestly nothing that I can critique her on. Every session we spent was professional and productive, and I felt very comfortable working with her. I always felt that I had her 100% attention and dedication even though she had many other tutoring students. Stephanie always answered my emails no matter how late I sent them and gave me the individual attention that I needed to succeed. With her help and guidance, I was somehow able to survive a very difficult course. I worked with Stephanie twice a week, and I sincerely appreciate all of the conversations we had - both chemistry related and just joking around - I was very comfortable working with her. As a side note, I feel that she would be make the “perfect teacher” (even in a subject as awful as chemistry!) She is very dedicated and encouraging, and I feel that the education profession would be lucky to have a person as talented as her in the field.

Really knowledgeable and friendly teacher

Stephanie has been teaching my 10yr old daughter Francesca Italian. She's only done about 4 lessons already but by the first session she said mommy I really like her can we study together tomorrow again. Stephanie has been doing a great job so far, she gets her to pay attention and be involved and focusing has been Francesca's weak point. So a big Thank you.

Thank you so much!

Great Tutor

I had a unique situation when looking for a chemistry tutor. I had to take a course that combined general, organic, and biochemistry into one semester with no background in chemistry. I was very happy to find Stephanie. She is very knowledgeable in this subject area and helpful in her instruction. She was able to easily adapt to the complication in the instruction from my professor and exhibited a great amount of patience. She helped me to grasp the material and in the end, achieve a final grade of an A. I would strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a tutor.

Great tutor who is very patient and extremely knowledgeable.

Stephanie is a very patient tutor who has been wonderful with my 13 year old daughter. After only two sessions, my daughter feels very confident on the material. Stepahine is also extremely flexible and really tries to work with whatever time works for you. Very happy and extremely grateful we found her.

Great communication

Stephanie came to our house and was very nice, polite and on time. She took the time to understand my daughter weakness's and was very patient in explaining the steps to my daughter. My daughter feels very comfortable with Stephanie and doesn't at all feel judged for needed to be tutored. I would highly recommend Stephanie to anyone I knew that needed help with their math/algebra skills.
