I am a former high school physical science teacher with experience both teaching and tutoring physical science, intro to chemistry and physics, chemistry, physics, AP chemistry, and ACT science. I also have a degree in psychology and have worked in behavioral health and am therefore qualified to tutor high school, AP, and college psychology.
I taught science in southeastern Kentucky through an organization called Teach For America, which involves a two year teaching commitment. When my two years were up, I moved to Louisville, where I began tutoring for a local high school. Most recently I moved to Nashville to pursue an MBA at Vanderbilt's Owen Graduate School of Management.
Overall, I love science and helping students understand it! I am eager to get started and truly believe that every student can can do well even in difficult science classes with the right amount of support, hard work, and practice.
As a former science teacher and with lots of science tutoring experience, I have worked with a wide range of students--from students who are struggling to those who are especially gifted and need more challenging work--to expand their science knowledge and comfort levels.
I would love to hear from you if you or your student is in need of tutoring in the areas listed above! Please don't hesitate to contact me, and I will respond as quickly as possible.
