About Robert

Bio

I have a Mathematics degree and minors in Chemistry and Computer Science. I am currently working on a Masters of Education. I am a patient, flexible, well rounded individual.

In college I did my best to tutor everyone I could and held an official math tutoring position. The students I helped said they learned a great deal. I try to encourage questions from students; the more they ask, the more they learn.

I am comfortable tutoring any high school, or early college math topic as well as high school chemistry and computer science. I love visualizations and appreciate real life examples.

C++

C++

I have a minor in computer science. I spent 3 semesters focusing on C++. I then spent semesters learning deeper aspects of programming.
Calculus

Calculus

I have been doing Calculus for years. Not only have I been through Calculus 1, 2, and 3, but also I have taken two Analysis courses about proving topics within Calculus.
Discrete Math

Discrete Math

I have a bachelor's degree in math. Discrete was among the classes I took as well as classes that used topics taught in discrete. I can also relate discrete math to things outside of discrete.
Linear Algebra

Linear Algebra

I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics. Linear Algebra is among the classes I took. I have a strong understanding of it. I like to use graphs when looking at Linear Algebra because it has so much to do with vectors. I think graphs help create a better understanding of what things mean. Sometimes it is necessary to look at smaller dimensions then generalize to the larger dimensions to really understand what concepts mean.
