I've loved mathematics ever since I was young, and I enjoy how it manifests in everything from puzzles to technology. For me, math provides a rich playground to improve your critical thinking and problem solving skills. I was the kid that always asked "why" and math helped explain a lot of things that fascinated me throughout the years.
Two decades have passed since my early childhood. At this point in life, I have taught college-level mathematics as an instructor of record for 3.5 years...

Very Thorough
I thought that Jason was very thorough and patient. He always gets to the heart of the problem and helps me understand how to further apply principles that underly those problems. Overall an excellent tutor 10/10.

Leeanna’s review
She was very very happy with the Calculus lesson. I think she would like to schedule another one. Many thanks :—)

5 star tutor!
Jason was an excellent tutor in the subject of real analysis. He explains complex topics very well and is excellent at drawing visual representations to clarify problems. Jason’s methodology enables his students to succeed in their courses both grade wise and conceptually. When instructing his students to help them solve homework problems he makes sure to stay connected to the general concepts and theories in class, which ultimately leads to deeper understanding and an ability to do the work on your own during exams. While working with Jason, I went from below average performances on the first two HW assignments to receiving the highest grade on the final exam, an A in the class overall, and an offer to be a grader for the course the following semester. Overall 5 star tutor.

Jason is an INCREDIBLE tutor.
I contacted Jason for some help on a few example exercises for a real analysis course, and I was amazed at how great of a tutor he is. Easily the best out of several (very good) tutors I’ve tried over Wyzant—the best tutoring session I’ve ever had on the platform. I came away having learned an incredible amount. Highly, highly recommend him.

Knowledgeable and Patient Tutor
Jason taught my son some basics about calculus to improve his understanding that helps him solve problems and understand what he is doing. He did so in a way that really improved his understanding.

Excellent Tutor
Jason really took the time to answer my more esoteric questions about Calculus 2, in specific I have trouble recognizing some of the subtle ideas about when to utilizer certain solution methods.

Game changer
I’m a comp sci grad student and I have had many sessions with Jason this semester. We’ve covered discrete math, linear algebra, logic, and combinatorics. Jason has made a huge difference for me academically. He explains concepts and solutions extremely well, and is very patient. I highly recommend working with Jason.

Actively helping you along the way
We are learning about Real Analysis, a notoriously difficult subject for many people. We worked on some exercises and he was brilliant, making sure I could talk about my ideas, disprove myself and learn to recognize a good idea when it came. If you want someone who will actually Listen to you, Jason is the perfect tutor.

Excellent Analysis Tutor!
I've had 8 tutoring sessions with Jason and all of them have went beyond my expectations! He works through the problems in detail and explains everything with clarity. It is obvious he is passionate about mathematics and genuinely cares that you understand the material. If you tell him the time frame of the assignment, he will work at a proper pace to help you meet the deadline. If he is unsure about a problem, he will make sure to have it solved by your next session. Typically, I am anxious around people when being tutored but I feel that Jason takes a non-judgemental approach in teaching. Message him. You won't regret it!

Very knowledgeable tutor. Highly recommend!
I have had many tutoring sessions with Jason and he is an expert, in my opinion. He has helped me recently with dot products (also known as inner products), how they represent the alignment of two vectors, how to find projections of one vector onto another, and how to apply these concepts to the Gram-Schmidt algorithm. We have also discussed how to find a unit vector that points in the same direction as a given vector. We have gone over how to find projections of one vector onto another, and how to apply these concepts to the Gram-Schmidt algorithm. We have also discussed how to find a unit vector that points in the same direction as a given vector. Reviewed vector spaces and their axioms: associative, commutative, identity, inverses, closure, and distributive. Worked with an example to show that it failed the vector space axioms. Also worked with examples that verified some of the axioms, and worked with properties of determinants. Reviewed exercises in parity of permutations, properties of determinants, and how to compute determinants with row echelon - upper triangular methods. We have also reviewed matrices, including how to compute determinants of matrices, how the determinant of a matrix changes by row/column operations, how to compute the adjugate matrix, and Cramer's rule. It's very obvious that Jason is great with math and his teaching style is also very engaging and entertaining since he visually helps you to understand the concepts by drawing them out if you need further help understanding the concepts.
