Hello, my name is Samuel! Though I am only a college student, I have completed math courses up to the level of Calculus 2. I understand that math is one of the more difficult subjects to understand, and I find the way to do that is to make it more enjoyable. As a tutor, my goal for all students is to present and teach the material in a way that is fun and memorable, with the goal of furthering education in mind. I do believe that each student is unique and learns in a different way, and I recognize that by adjusting my style to the needs of each individual student.
Throughout my education, I have been presented with many opportunities to help others learn. In middle school, I graded math papers with my peers; in high school, I helped classmates study for the ACT and presented material on math; in college, I am one of few students employed as a mathematics tutor. I do not have much professional experience with teaching others, but I feel as though my past experience says that I enjoy making connections and helping people grow. I may not be a perfect teacher, but I put effort into what I teach. Ultimately, my focus is the student and their success, and that is something I strive to see be accomplished.
