My name is Chris and I am an engineer with 10 years of experience in my field. I earned my master's degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Tennessee where I specialized in radiation detection and nuclear security. I earned my bachelor's degree in Physics from North Carolina State University.

During my career, I have regularly used algebra, physics, and computer programming (in MS Excel, SQL, Python, and Tableau) in my daily tasks and I have had the opportunity to teach software training classes for our customers both in-person and virtually.

While at NC State, I enjoyed learning how calculus can be used to describe the things in our physical world. From levers and pendulums to mass contraction and time dilation, math explains it all.

While working on my bachelor's degree I spent a lot of time in study groups where I developed my skills for explaining complex concepts in an understandable manner. My approach to helping my fellow classmates was to describe the problem in a different way, break the problem down into smaller steps, and take a methodical approach to finding a solution.

I am a dad of four children, ages 10, 8, 5, and infant, who my wife and I homeschool. This has afforded me the chance to work with my kids on their math program over the last six years. I take the same approach that I did with my classmates in college, restate the problem in a different way, break the problem down into smaller steps, and encourage my kids to think through it methodically.

I look forward to studying with you and helping you to achieve your goals.
