Hey! I'm Emily, a college chemistry professor with experience teaching high school chemistry as well. I have earned graduate degrees in both chemistry and education, a combination that equips me with a strong foundation in not only subject matter expertise, but also pedagogical skills.

My biggest "yay" moments in teaching come when I'm working with individual students and can differentiate instruction to meet their needs - basically, I enjoy breaking down material into smaller, more understandable bits that students can better understand. One-on-one tutoring is so powerful because I can target exactly where a student has misconceptions, whereas a teacher or professor with 100 students has no way of seeing these minor misunderstandings that lead to a lot of unnecessary confusion.
