Fear and anxiety are the greatest barriers to effective public speaking. And while that’s true what matters more is the strengths you possess. I will help you discover how to use your inherent strengths to quiet the fear and anxiety that naturally comes from public speaking.
Most people dislike the sound of their own voice. Together you and I will use public spaces and electronic technology to give you confidence to use the voice with which you were created, and perhaps even learn to like that voice.
Most people believe the people to whom they are speaking are somehow superior. We will use mindfulness and breathing exercises to level the playing field.
Most people, when they begin to speak, hear another voice in their mind. That voice is telling you that you are stupid, that you are awkward, that you have nothing to say and you won’t say it right. Together we’ll learn to turn the volume down on that internal voice and turn the volume up on your true voice.
Most people don’t know where to put their hands, their feet or how to move in front of people. Together will learn and rehearse techniques to will fit your personality and make you appear that you are fearless. And after a while...you will be.
Most people believe they must memorize or read every word that is in front of them. While it is true the core content of any message must be delivered clearly, memorization can become a chain that hinders effective communication.
