Hi! I'm Emily P. I'm a Bluffton, SC native currently living in Columbia, SC. I am a high school English teacher. I couldn't be more excited to contribute to my students' lives in such an important way. To the fanatic like myself, English is the medium through which one expresses oneself to other speakers. To those gifted in other areas instead, English is still a crucial skill, and its rules can be taught in practical, logical ways that reach even those who feel left behind.

To those gifted in other areas instead, English is still a crucial skill, and its rules can be taught in practical, logical ways that reach even those who feel left behind.

I'm here to put my talent and passion for English to good use by helping learners with personalized instruction. Over the course of my life, I have collected several credentials to recommend me: I was told as early as first grade that I might be a writer someday; I was dubbed "Grammar Guru" by my AP Lang teacher (to my delight and chagrin, in front of the whole class); I scored in the ninety-ninth percentile for Grammar and Syntax on the SAT (which is the highest possible). My most official credential is that I am now a certified English teacher.
