I have a Master of Social Work degree from the University of South Carolina as well as my Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work. I am recently employed with Palmetto Health Heart Hospital as a social work case manager, where I worked with individuals with severe and persistent heart conditions to provide clinical interventions, intensive case management, assist with discharge planning, and community referrals. While at Palmetto Health, I have gained valuable experience working with a high need, vulnerable population and supporting change and growth through a strengths-based, person-centered approach. I am excited about the chance to utilize this knowledge to help the population you serve and am eager for the opportunity to facilitate change and success on a larger scale by addressing the needs of students on USC’s campus.
Previously, I worked as the Clinical Lead at LRADAC Detox where I supervised, designed and implemented clinical treatment plans for persons actively using and/or abusing alcohol or other drugs. This placement involved intensive work with abuse, trauma and mental health concerns and solidified in me a desire to provide informed care to vulnerable populations. It also involved extensive work with coordinating with a wide variety of resources in Columbia, SC as well as other states. I have provided clinical services, in both an individual and group setting, focused on behavior modification, skills training, mindfulness and motivational interviewing to treat individuals across the diagnostic spectrum. I have also been involved in the policy formation and program evaluation of my previous programs, as I believe the integration of both micro- and macro-level interventions is crucial to facilitating long-term success.
I have worked in the field of social work for numerous years and with various populations. I am skilled in working with substance abuse, children, families, those who have been incarcerated, and many others
I am patient and possess the skills needed to help guide one through t
