I am a University of South Carolina graduate with bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Business Administration, with majors in Management and Marketing. I graduated with a 3.8 GPA and Leadership Distinction in Professional and Civic Engagement, and I have been recognized through the Dean’s List, Capstone Scholar program, Palmetto Fellows Scholarship, and Desrosiers Scholarship. My academic background allows me to support students in psychology, business, marketing, management, study skills, organization, and academic writing.
I have experience teaching and mentoring students in both classroom and one-on-one settings. As a University 101 Peer Leader, I support a class of about 20 first-year college students by leading activities, creating an encouraging environment, and helping students work through academic and personal challenges. I also volunteer at an elementary school, where I read with students, lead small-group activities, assist with assignments, and provide individualized support to reinforce important concepts. These experiences have helped me learn how to adapt my approach to each student’s age, learning style, and confidence level.
My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and collaborative. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, so I focus on breaking down difficult material into manageable steps and helping students build strategies they can use independently. Whether your student needs extra support with a specific assignment, stronger study habits, or more confidence in the classroom, I would love to help them reach their goals.
