I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Animation and Digital Media from Brooklyn College as well as a certificate in Simulation, Game Development, and Design from Central Piedmont Community College. Over the years, I have tutored and taught students ranging from young children in elementary school all the way through adulthood in animation and game development. Outside of teaching, I maintain an active professional practice as a 2D and 3D animator. My industry experience includes working as a key animator, cleanup artist, and colorist on the Gobelins Paris thesis film The Famous Last Show, creating custom 2D and 3D stage visualizers for recording artists like Molly Santana, and designing promotional assets for global footwear brands like Pennon Official.I have also worked with the Singapore Art Museum in collaboration with Beans & Beats for animation visuals.

My tutoring approach is centered on taking students from ground-level fundamentals to full artistic proficiency at a comfortable, steady pace. I guide my students through the entire animation production pipeline, breaking down every phase from initial character layouts and keyframing to final line cleanup and color compositing. Having worked across diverse production styles, I teach both Western and Japanese animation workflows, giving students a versatile foundation that applies directly to industry standards. Whether you are learning software like Procreate, Clip Studio Paint or Blender etc. for the first time or refining your motion timing, my goal is to give you the practical skills and confidence needed to bring your personal creative projects to life.

Drawing

I built my drawing foundation through an advanced college-level curriculum during my Bachelor of Arts in Animation and Digital Media as well as my Simulation, Game Development, and Design studies. Over the years, I have mastered digital drawing tools like Clip Studio Paint and Procreate, applying these skills to both personal visual storytelling and high-level animation work—including serving as a key animator, cleanup artist, and colorist on a thesis film for Gobelins Paris. Throughout my tutoring experience, I have taught drawing to students ranging from kindergarteners picking up digital art for the first time to adults completely pivoting their careers into illustration and visual design. My teaching approach is designed to make drawing engaging, structured, and accessible at every skill level. For younger children, we focus on fun, confidence-building exercises that develop creative thinking, basic shapes, and hand-eye coordination. For older students and adults, we dive into foundational artistic principles such as form, perspective, anatomy, lighting, and visual storytelling, tailored directly to the digital software you prefer. Whether you want to encourage a child's artistic passion or build a polished portfolio to transition into a new career path, I adapt every lesson to fit your specific goals and learning pace.

I hold a certificate in Simulation, Game Development, and Design from Central Piedmont Community College as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Animation and Digital Media. During my time at CPCC, I completed an internship focused on building interactive 3D worlds in both Unreal Engine and Unity. Through my academic and hands-on production work, I have built a deep understanding of real-time game engines, environment design, physics, and world-building across both 2D and 3D projects—ranging from 2D platformers to first-person shooters. Over the years, I have taught students from elementary school into adulthood, guiding young learners through their first interactive builds and helping adults pivot their careers directly into game design. My tutoring approach breaks down game engines into clear, approachable concepts so you never feel overwhelmed by the technical learning curve. We start with the core fundamentals—interface navigation, level layout, asset management, and engine physics—before moving into custom environment creation, lighting, and interactive mechanics. Whether you are aiming to build stylized 2D sprite games, design immersive 3D environments in Unreal Engine, or prototype your own playable mechanics, I tailor our sessions directly to your project goals. I focus on practical, hands-on workflow habits so you can confidently build, troubleshoot, and release your own interactive worlds.
