Hello! My name is Greg. I graduated cum laude from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and math is and has always been a true joy in my life. My love of tutoring stems from my love of learning. There is no greater feeling than that of achieving a light bulb moment when realizing a concept or skill for the first time, especially when the journey to understanding begins with a struggle. The opportunity to pass this experience on to students is something I cherish.

I have over a year of experience tutoring students from elementary to high school level in a variety of subjects with math (elementary, algebra 1 & 2, and geometry) being my specialty and SAT & ACT math being my primary specialties (scored 790 on SAT math in high school). I have tutored students in one-on-one settings at the student's home and also in group settings, usually 2 or 3 students at a time in a tutoring center. My tutoring approach involves first gauging what the student understands already and working with them to build on that knowledge. Any study resources the student has are great to reference and the key is figuring out how to communicate ideas to students in an individualized way that is most effective for them. Especially with a subject like math, I also like to show students that there are often multiple ways of solving a problem and then help them to see those ways or at least help them to find the way that they can see the most clearly.

I am happy to help students in any way I can and no matter the subject, I am confident that my desire to teach combined with the student's desire to learn will produce rewarding results. Feel free to contact me anytime with questions, concerns, or to schedule a session.
