LAW AND LEGAL WRITING
As a lawyer and tutor with over 12 years of tutoring law students, college legal studies students...

As a lawyer, experienced adjunct professor, and experienced private tutor, I am very passionate about teaching and helping all students achieve their full potential through a creative and fun learning environment tailored to each individual student. I have an energetic teaching style that keeps students engaged.

WRITING, LEGAL WRITING, AND CAREER SKILLS
As an adjunct college professor, I have many years in teaching basic and intermediate composition/writing, legal research, and legal writing. I also teach students job skills such as writing resumes and cover letters, and interviewing techniques.

ESSAYS & ADMISSIONS APPLICATIONS
Over the years, I have developed significant expertise assisting students with essay writing, college admissions essays, general essay-writing, and applications for graduate and professional school (law school, medical school, etc.).

LAW AND LEGAL WRITING
As a lawyer and tutor with over 12 years of tutoring law students, college legal studies students, and other lawyers with strengthening their legal research, legal analysis, legal writing, and exam-taking techniques. I have taught courses and tutored students in legal writing, tort law, civil procedure, constitution law, immigration law, and oral advocacy.

MY STUDENTS HAVE ACHIEVED GREAT RESULTS
My students have achieved great results. Their test scores and GPAs have improved. They have obtained jobs they sought or obtained admissions to very competitive colleges, graduate schools, and other programs. They have enhanced their writing skills. They genuinely understand the material better. They feel more comfortable participating in class. Perhaps most importantly, my students feel more confident in their own abilities.

Thank you for reviewing my bio and I hope to hear from you soon!

Public Speaking

Public speaking is an essential skill for succeeding in any career, and more generally, for succeeding in life. A gifted public speaker can captivate an audience's attention to achieve a strategic goal and do so in a charismatic and natural way. Once individuals learn the basics of public speaking, they can boost their performance in various settings—from students who need to make an oral presentation in class, business professionals pitching a proposal, to a job applicant seeking to impress interviewers. As a lawyer, I am uniquely qualified to help students become effective public speakers. My job requires that I practice effective, persuasive public speaking each day. I must converse with attorneys and judges multiple times a day. I also observe other attorneys arguing in court before judges. Oral advocacy is crucial to being a successful attorney. In law school, I learned how to succinctly, confidently, and persuasively present my points clearly. I have tutored law students on methods to improve their oral advocacy and presentation skills. I have also tutored adolescents on how to deliver speeches, make impromptu audience addresses, and even sing in public. I am confident that my professional training and tutoring experience have equipped me with the skills needed to teach you how to become an effective public speaker through a fun and inventive learning environment.

I am passionate about helping others to learn English and to feel comfortable communicating in English. I am a native English-speaker and have experience teaching English and Spanish, especially to both adolescents and adults. I have tutored many ESL and Spanish student and I am confident I would be a successful ESL instructor for you for several reasons. First, I have extensive teaching experience. For example, I first began teaching in 1996 when I tutored private individuals and conducted small classes in Hebrew reading and pronunciation for over ten years. In 2006, I graduated from Temple University with dual majors in Journalism and Spanish. As part of my Spanish degree, I learned first-hand the challenges of learning a new language and helpful techniques for reducing such impediments. I studied abroad in Mexico, Spain, and Puerto Rico, engaging in several language and cultural immersion certificate programs. I also participated in a language-tandem exchange, in which I taught English to an adult from South America, while he helped me with my Spanish comprehension.

Study skills are a specialty of mine. I have had to perfect my study skills for a variety of topics and settings: from college journalism and language courses to law school, and even two Bar Exams to become a licensed attorney. I have taken more exams in my life than anyone would like to remember. Through these experiences, I have developed tried and true techniques for improving study skills, retention of highly technical and specific information, and test performance. I have also spent a great deal of time studying the various methodologies for improving study skills, time management, organization, and test-taking techniques. I thoroughly enjoy sharing this knowledge with others to make it as easy as possible for them to learn the substantive material they are trying to understand and improve their test performance. These are skills that I have taught to the majority of my students over the years. For example, as an Academic Fellow in law school, I tutored other law students in time-management, test-taking strategies, and ways to improve their writing and analysis. I have also helped many of my current students with similar techniques. Truly one of the best tutors!

During my first year of law school, I sought Andrew as my tutor to help me with my substantive classes and oral argument skills. He tailored his lessons based on my own learning style and was very methodical in explaining complex subject matter in a very understandable way. For instance, because I am a visual learner, Andrew provided me with visual aids to help me understand the concepts. Unlike most tutors I've dealt with, Andrew always brought with him an organized lesson plan to the tutoring sessions and left me a copy of the lesson. I was able to always go back and remember what we've covered during our tutoring sessions. Andrew truly cares about his students and will go the extra mile to help his students succeed. My grades improved significantly after tutoring with Andrew and I am truly grateful to have had him as my tutor.

Great Spanish Tutor, patient, punctual, and efficient.

Andrew provided my child with a Spanish lesson that really sparked her interest, he seems to be great with kids, he provided us with songs and tools to enrich her learning. He was able to adapt his lesson plan to tailor her needs. Andrew was very personable and friendly as well as professional. He would be a good fit, if you have a child eager to learn and enthusiastic to become fluent in Spanish.

Great tutor

Andrew is a very professional English tutor. I have learned a lot of things from him. He has a professional way of teaching English. He helps and corrects my oral English let alone writing English. I have difficulty dealing with articles in English languages but as I take his lesson, I became more confident about my English grammar. He is also a lawyer so he is very reliable and credible person. He has such a nice personality as well that he makes you feel you want to learn more and makes the lesson fun. I am always looking forward to the lesson day. The more I have his lesson, the more I learn very proper English. He also helps me with my homework in a professional way. He is very knowledgeable about computers as well. I am also very impressed by his patience and professional way of encouraging students' eagerness to learn more. He is definitely the best tutor I have ever had. I am very thankful to him. Tamana

Great Tutor

I was looking for a tutor for my son who was having some difficulties in a few of his classes. After reviewing Andrew's profile, I figured he would be a good fit for my son, and my assumptions were correct! My son was very satisfied with Andrew's style of teaching. He would create a special lesson plan for each session, was willing to review my son's professor's old exams, and was even able to help my son with his time management. I am very glad I was able to find someone who was suitable for my son. I would highly recommend Andrew!
