Hi everyone, my name is Brian. Let’s talk tutoring! If you’re considering tutoring in more than 5 different Math subjects, look no further. If you’re looking for a decade of standardized test prep experience, look no further. If you’re looking for Writing tutoring, look no further. And if you’re looking for a tutor with the highest level of patience possible, look no further!

The range of Math subject areas I tutor is broad. It ranges from Elementary School to the College level, including Elementary Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Math Analysis, Trigonometry, etc. Let me help you understand your material better and feel better prepared for quizzes/tests/exams.

Let’s get prepped for standardized tests! I’ve been tutoring School-aged students for the SSAT, PSAT, ACT and SAT. Coupled with my SAT tutoring is strong performance. Let me use my score of 800 on the SAT Math section to help in comprehensive SAT Prep. For College students and adult learners, I’ve been tutoring for the GRE and GMAT for years. From the SSAT through to the GRE and GMAT, I want to help you earn that higher score.

People put too little emphasis on Writing. Not me. I’ve been providing Writing tutoring, editing and proofreading services since 2011. I tutor for Writing needs from Elementary School to College and corporate America. Key to my experience was my Bachelor’s degree from Boston College, where one concentration I completed was a major in Philosophy. This included reading, research and writing short essays, short papers and long research papers.

For over 20 years I’ve been working with students. In 2002, I began working as an academic tutor and mentor to students in a group home. Since 2011, I’ve been tutoring individuals from Elementary School through to Adult learners over 40 years of age. You can be that next student.

Please send me a message so we can talk about tutoring lessons. I'll answer your questions!

General Computer

General Computer

If you are looking to learn your way around using a computer, let me help you! I have almost 20 years experience using computers, and want to help show you how to be more comfortable around them. My experience includes home use (typing documents, using the Internet, viewing and working with photos, etc.), use in school (creating documents, spreadsheets, presentations, Internet research, etc.), and use in the workforce (sending individual and group emails, creating documents, spreadsheets, and presentations). But before we get into details, let me help you start to use the basics of the computer-the keyboard and mouse, basic typing, then we can use your computer to look at family photos, perform research on the Internet, and anything else that you need.
Public Speaking

Public Speaking

Let's conquer that fear of speaking in public! Remember, it begins with you-what you know, what you want to tell/teach someone, etc. I will make sure you can deliver all of what you already have, to any audience. This can be to groups in high school, college, or in a work setting. My public speaking experience began almost 18 years ago, in competitive debate. It involved researching and becoming an advocate for a topic, and delivering a speech detailing my point of view. Later in competitive speaking, I learned to memorize written material (plays, stories) and deliver the material to audiences of all sizes - anywhere from 10-15 people to a large room of 300 people. In a professional setting, I was often required to prepare training materials and deliver short presentations to as little as 1-3 people and as many as 10 people. Let me help you feel confident in public speaking! I can teach you voice techniques, body techniques, and delivery techniques, to make your speaking as clear as possible! I can make sure you will be able to clearly present and deliver what you need, and that you are not nervous or have any anxiety while doing it!

The best!

Brian is the perfect tutor, and he is the reason our daughter is excelling in Algebra. He is also great to communicate with, flexible with schedules (including staying later than the allotted time if needed to help our daughter grasp concepts), and has the perfect temperament to deal with teenagers. My husband and I would give Brian ten stars on a scale of one to five.

Goes the Extra Mile!

My daughter had a math exam as part of a high school application process. We only found out about it a few days before I messaged Brian. He responded immediately and moved his schedule around to make time to tutor my daughter. He was very personable, patient and knowledgeable and made my daughter's least favorite subjects less painful. She felt extremely comfortable doing the test after Brian's review with her.

Wonderful tutor!

Brian has been working with my daughter over the last month on SAT Math and he has been great! He is really patient, thorough and knowledgeable. He’s helped my daughter really understand the materials and how to recognized and understand her common mistakes and pitfalls. I wish we had started working with him earlier!

Brian is an excellent tutor.

Brian focused on math and English tutoring for SAT. Each week he gave her homework tailored the lesson around the homework and lesson. Very productive sessions.

Patient and knowledgeable

An important quality in Brian as a math teacher is the ability to help his student form connections with the subject. He will make sure the student understand the concepts rather than just memorizing the equations. He keeps the student engaged and interested in the subject. He is also a good motivator. Thanks Brian for your lessons, it’s totally worth it!

Patient and very nice tutor

Brian is a very nice tutor, he is sincere, pleasant, patient and detail oriented. Catherine brought up the topics she couldn’t master in school, Brian would patiently go through the problems step by step and make sure that Catherine would be able to solve it by herself. I would recommend Brian for tutoring.

Very patient instructor

Brian knows how to connect to the student to help them do their best. He takes extra time to make sure our son understands a skill set before moving on. Brian has a large array of knowledge that allows us to change the subject matter without skipping a step.

Patient, Considerate, and Methodical

While we're just really getting started, it's already clear Brian enjoys working with students. He encourages, checks regularly for understanding, rewards through compliments, and is patient with my daughter. With regard to working with me as the parent, he's extremely polite, personable, and solicitous. We're looking forward to working together further with Brian!
