Social Work

I am a social worker that specializes in medical social work and care coordination. My personal specialty is working with individuals that have neurological deficits due to events and/or neurodegenerative diseases. I have spent time as a task supervisor for MSW students during their placements in the hospital and have guest lectured at many different institutions. I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Service (MSS) in Clinical Social Work from Bryn Mawr College and currently working on my PhD in Social Work at Widener University.

Sociology

As a PhD student who is currently in practice there are many theoretical frameworks that I have used and used to explain specific social work interventions. Social work in a discipline that pulls from a multitude of other disciplines including sociology, psychology, economics, etc. Connecting sociological theory to applications of practice is something that I am often tasked with explaining and assisting other people with understanding.

Thesis Writing

As a current Ph.D. candidate completing my dissertation, I understand the demands of long-form academic writing from both a personal and professional perspective. I help students organize their work, clarify their research questions, and meet deadlines without feeling overwhelmed. My experience includes mentoring MSW students through capstone projects and supporting peers with literature reviews, qualitative analysis, and APA formatting. I provide both technical guidance and emotional support to help students stay motivated and on track.
