I am a highly experienced tutor for English and Math for many years on the elementary, middle school, high school, and college level. On the elementary level I have had great success in helping students improve both their reading, writing and math skills. Middle school and secondary subjects that I can tutor are Math and English including vocabulary, grammar, writing, and literature analysis. I am a highly experienced tutor for English and Math for many years on the elementary, middle school, high school, and college level. On the elementary level I have had great success in helping students improve both their reading, writing and math skills. Middle school and secondary subjects that I can tutor are Math and English including vocabulary, grammar, writing, and literature analysis. Many of my students have been college level Math and English Students. I can tutor Math and English SAT as test preparation. My teaching experience has been elementary teacher, high school English and Math teacher, and college instructor of Writing, English and Math. I have taught drawing to children and adults for over ten years at Fuller Lodge Art Center, Los Alamos, NM for children and adult classes, as well as at the University of New Mexico at Los Alamos, Santa Fe Public School System for children in after school programs. My approach to tutoring drawing is to teach the basic shapes, form and perspective first, then more refined pencil techniques. I can tutor all drawing mediums: pencil, charcoal, pastel and ink. I tutor all areas: Still life, figure, and landscape drawing. I can teach painting in water-based oils, acrylics, watercolor and pastels. I tutor all techniques of painting; Landscape, Still Life, Portrait, and Figure painting in oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastel. I cover the basics of how to mix paint, how of use brushes ,and how to create an interesting palette of colors. I like to develop the students' own creative ability to produce their own unique painting style. I received my formal art education at The Art Students' League of New York, NY where I studied Portrait, Figure and Still Life Painting.

Next students begin to write words in cursive and ultimately sentences and paragraphs.

My child hated writing before Miss Linda, now it's his favorite subject!

My son has always struggled with his spelling and writing. He has ADHD and has trouble with fidgeting and focus. He would fight with me to sit down and write just two sentences. Thank goodness I found Miss Linda! She keeps his interest for a whole 1 1/2 hours!! He has a whole new outlook on writing now. He enjoys writing now and he writes stories for fun now. What a difference she has made in such a short time! Thank you Linda!
