I go to Oklahoma State University for Finance graduating at the end of the year.
I tutor mainly Japanese and High School Maths.
I'm a native Japanese speaker with writing, speaking, and reading skills until Japanese high school. I grew up in Japan and I lived there until I was 15. I've then started to be more back and forth between the U.S. and Japan. I can speak with no accents and understand the cultures, which is crucial to learning the language. I've been tutoring Japanese for a year on some different platforms and I can build study plans based on the needs of the client.
For beginner students, I focus on some basic phrases, greetings, hiragana rules, and some cultural introductions.
For intermediate students, for who I expect memorization of hiragana, I focus on verb conjunctions and particles to construct sentences. I also introduce some kanjis.
For advanced students, I start to do longer readings like essays and practice speaking smoothly.
I have taken all the Math classes till Calculus BC mostly with As and some Bs throughout my academic career. I got an ACT math highest score of 31 in senior and I am comfortable teaching math. For ACT prep, I like to go over problems and do them together. Even advanced students need reviews on geometry and algebra around the time they take the ACT and I'll give them the reviews of problems to refresh heir minds. When there are needs of explanations, I can go over them and teach concepts and test strategies.
