Physics, Mathematics, Business, and Engineering, the STEM disciplines, can be difficult subjects even for advanced high school and university students alike. Why not get top-tier tutoring in your subject area as well as those you may be taking concurrently, and greatly augment your chances for educational and career success?

Your tutor is a retired college educator possessing university training in each of the disciplines of Physics (BS), Engineering (BS/MS), Mathematics (MS), and Business (MBA and Doctoral-O.R.). I am sufficiently trained to help you up through the 2nd year of graduate study in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Business, and Operations Research.

In 1987, I was invited to the James J. Forrestal Lab (PPPL) of Princeton University to present a short talk on how to contain high energy fusion plasmas in the Tokamak Fusion Test Reactor. As serendipity would have it, my solution turned out to be correct, and the approach was implemented both there and in the M.I.T. Versator.

I especially enjoy working with graduate and doctoral students. If you are studying at the advanced level, especially in Probability or Operations Research, and need help beyond your graduate colleagues or teaching assistants, then email me. This is in-depth tutoring, for the serious student.

As an adjunct to my usual instruction, I am also available for tutoring in courses that may benefit the Engineering student: Materials Science, Solid State Physics, Fluid Mechanics, and Basic Control Theory (Laplace transforms). Contact me if you're having difficulty in any of these educational pursuits.

My further tutoring skills include working with topics in Symbolic Logic, Mathematical Proofs, and Truth Tables.

I am not the least expensive professional here. That's so we don't waste each other's time. Choosing the path of knowledge is far better than choosing the path of non-knowledge. Or paraphrasing the remarks of a Harvard president, "If you think education is expensive, try ignorance."

Business

Business

Check my cancellation policy as of 08/01/2021. I've taught the following courses: Economics I & II; Business Statistics; Business Calculus; Operations Research, and Operations Management. For MBA courses I've instructed students in Queueing Theory; Inventory Theory; and Linear Programming. For doctoral students, I've taught and tutored Markov Chains and Stochastic Processes. Since I've had each of these courses I have prepared set of notes.
Calculus

Calculus

Before we have a session, please check my cancellation policy as of 08/01/2021. We'll follow that policy. I've taught the entire Calculus sequence. I've also taught the Business Calculus course, having had similar material in my MBA program. Calc I, II, & III (multi-variable), Advanced Calculus I & II, Analysis I & II, Real Analysis, Complex Variables/Analysis, and Functional Analysis with an Introduction to Measure Theory.
Differential Equations

Differential Equations

Check my Cancellation Policy of 8/21/21. I teach how to solve the homogeneous LDE: Y"+bY'+kY = 0, with real constant coefficients by assuming an algebraic solution of the form Y = e^(st). This way I show the algebraic simplicity of solving L[y] = 0. In the non-homogeneous case L[y] =/=0, I teach the method of Green's functions, the Wronskian, and Variation of Parameters. I further extend these methods to Differential Equations in Physics, Engineering, and Quantum Mechanics. For Partial Differential Equations, I teach the method of by separation of variables. I have taken and taught this material in at least 6 courses covering: ODEs, PDEs, Sturm-Liouville Theory, and BVP.
Logic

Logic

Check my cancellation policy as of 08/01/2021. I provide the student of Logic with the tools of Mathematical Logic and Theorem Proving. In my instruction, I've used Robert Stoll's book. "Set Theory and Logic". I taught the "Transition to Advanced Mathematics", which uses these same tools. I also teach the logic basis of the Physical Sciences, by getting the student to use Modus Ponens, where we analyze P /\ (P=>Q) =>Q, P being the causal hypothesis and Q, the effect.
Physical Science

Physical Science

Before we have a session, please check my cancellation policy as of 08/01/2021. We'll follow that policy. I am degreed in Physics and Mathematics. So the realm of Physical Science (which touches every discipline I've studied) is embodied in my life's work and devotion to students both in and out of the classroom.

I've taught these a number of times at the college level.
Probability

Probability

Before we have a session, please check my cancellation policy as of 08/01/2021. We'll follow that policy. Much of my undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral work is in the areas of Probability and Statistics. I have a strong background in Statistics and Applied Probability Models, and Markov Chains; the latter being more of stochastic modeling (Conditional and Discrete Space Probability) on the level of Sheldon Ross's books.
Statistics

Statistics

Before we have a session, please check my cancellation policy as of 08/01/2021. We'll follow that policy. AP Statistics; SPC; Probability; Managerial Statistics; Business Statistics; Business Analytics; Linear and Multiple Linear Regression; Hypothesis Testing; Confidence Intervals; Inferential Decision-making; Distribution Functions; ANOVA; Covariance.

Tremendous teacher/tutor

Richard has achieved remarkable progress with my son in just two sessions—more than my son gained in six months of college instruction. As a young man on the spectrum, my son requires a teacher who can adapt to his needs, and Richard excels at this. He is exceptionally well-prepared, patient, and has the rare ability to teach across multiple levels of understanding. Most importantly, he listens carefully to questions and ensures true comprehension before moving forward. I wholeheartedly recommend Richard to anyone seeking a dedicated and effective educator.

Highly proficient in Operations Management at the MBA level!

Professor V is an outstanding tutor/instructor! I'm currently enrolled in a rigorous Operations course (at the MBA level) yet Professor V was able to break complicated concepts down into rudimentary parts that I could easily understand. He is certainly one of the best, if not the best, tutor that I've had on this platform.
