I got a taste for real teaching as an Organic Chemistry laboratory instructor during my years as a graduate student. I soon realized that learning from my students was much more rewarding and than learning from my old professors...

Surrounded by hyper-competitive classmates during my undergraduate years, with academic exercises designed to pit me and my classmates against each other, I learned the "hard way", as they say. I got a taste for real teaching as an Organic Chemistry laboratory instructor during my years as a graduate student. I soon realized that learning from my students was much more rewarding and than learning from my old professors and see the knowledge I gain from helping others achieve their academic goals as my service's greatest gift. I teach by asking questions as I am much more interested in gauging what you know so I can better meet your needs. I seek to learn with my students, when that happens, I know they're learning from me.
I have a Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry from Washington and Lee University and a Master's of Science in Chemistry from the University of Dayton. I have over two and a half years of experience teaching general Chemistry and Organic Chemistry Laboratory courses and a combined eight years of experience in higher education. I currently work as an independent tutor and have experience working in the industrial chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
I love learning but I prefer helping others learn in the process.
