In the state of Ohio, a content based curriculum using stated mandated content standards was a part of the "No Child Left Behind" initiative, called SES(Supplemental Education Service). I was employed as a 1st thru 6th grade Reading and Math Instructor. My job included but was not limited to: 1. Preparing lessons aligned with the content standards as defined by the state; 2. Instructing students over said content standards based on pretests administered; and 3. Maintaining records with dates of mastery.
