Congratulations on taking the first step towards finding a tutor. Whether you are looking for help with your coursework, need assistance brainstorming for a research project, or are just interested in learning something new, I am here to help. My expertise is in psychology, SPSS, and research design. I also provide assistance with college and graduate school personal statements and graduate school interview preparation.
I have a B.A. in Human Development from Boston College ('04), an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Boston College ('06), and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University, Brooklyn ('13). I am currently a tenured Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Dayton, where I have taught undergraduate courses in abnormal psychology, interviewing and counseling, and history of psychology. At the graduate level I have taught introduction to clinical psychology, psychology ethics, and cognitive assessment courses. I also served as the Director of our clinical psychology M.A. program from 2020-2023.
As a tutor, I evaluate each student's individual needs and learning style, and then provide individualized tutoring sessions to optimize learning and academic growth. I am currently available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday late afternoon/evenings and weekends in the Dayton area or online. Please inquire with any questions you may have about my policies or qualifications. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you!
Please note: I do not provide tutoring services through Wyzant to any of my current students. If you are currently a student in one of my classes, please contact me directly through the university e-mail, speak to me after class, or stop by office hours. I am happy to help you, but it would be unethical for me to charge you as helping you succeed in my class is part of my job.
